STRESSED?

#Momlife ... let's be honest, whether you work inside or outside of the home - it's hard and with it can come a lot of stress! Drop a "wave/hand" in the comments if you can relate. We all have our strengths, but we all have our limit's too; but that's when God's word steps in. Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."
In those tough moments when you feel like you are about to lose it and pull your hair out, God reaches out and says, "I got you... you can do this... you are stronger than you know." Does it make all the problems go away, no, but it brings peace into the chaos. If you can take just a few moments, close your eyes, and say, "Lord, you said in your word that you would supply all my needs - I need strength right now to make it through this day." He will come through for you, but you can't stop there. The bible also says faith without works (action) is dead - you have to take action.
Psalm 8:2 "Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger." We are God's children and most of the time our biggest enemy is our own thoughts. But how do you combat thoughts - with WORDS. You can't think and speak at the same time. Find you a praise song, start singing and drown those thoughts in praise. I guarantee as you begin to shift your thoughts onto the words coming out of your mouth rather than the stress that surrounds you, peace will begin to rise up within giving you the strength need to get you through. You might be thinking, there is no amount of praise music that's going to help my situation. But here's the thing. It's not so much about the music as it's an act of surrender. It's taking those thoughts captive and choosing to take your eyes off of what you can do and laying down all that stress at the feet of Jesus. It's acknowledging what He has done for you and stepping over into that place of victory that He provided through the cross.
As you fully embrace who God is through praise and what He brings into your life, peace begins to settle the storm that rages within. Ask me how I know. This past year has been one of the toughest that we have ever gone through. But through it all, God has been faithful; and it's not because of who we are, but because who HE is! We took action as a family and stood firm on the promises of God and at the end of each day - there is peace within our home, and you can have that too. The mind is a powerful thing, but God is greater, and, in His word, we find the keys in how to control it. God's word works and it works every time. We just need to get into it and learn how to use it. #Momlife; though it has its challenges He is right there walking it out with us every step of the way.

What you listen to regularly directly affects the atmosphere of your thoughts. Whatever you think about, you talk about. Whatever you talk about you begin to gravitate towards thus directing the course of your life and your kids are no different. What you listen to matters!
"Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life."
